Description
Replacement pediatric diaphragm non-chill rim in black for Welch Allyn professional pediatric and Harvey Elite stethoscopes. The rim provides a non-chill surface around the diaphragm to improve patient comfort and secures the diaphragm to the chestpiece.

- Replacement of worn, damaged or lost pediatric diaphragm rim on compatible Welch Allyn stethoscopes
- Restoring full function and comfort of Welch Allyn professional or Harvey Elite pediatric stethoscopes
Composition
- Molded synthetic (latex-free) non-chill rim material
- Designed as a retaining ring for a pediatric stethoscope diaphragm (no medicinal ingredients)

Packaging
- Single pediatric diaphragm non-chill rim, black
- Supplied as one replacement part per retail pack
Usage
- Ensure the stethoscope is clean and dry before replacing the rim.
- Remove the old pediatric diaphragm rim and diaphragm from the chestpiece, if present.
- Place the diaphragm centrally on the pediatric chestpiece.
- Stretch and snap the new non-chill rim over the edge of the chestpiece so it securely retains the diaphragm all the way around.
- Check that the rim is evenly seated with no gaps or twisting.
- Clean the chestpiece and rim between patients according to local infection-control protocols and the stethoscope manufacturer’s instructions.
Contraindications
- Do not use if the rim is visibly cracked, deformed or does not seat securely on the compatible Welch Allyn pediatric chestpiece.
- Not intended for use with non-compatible stethoscope models or brands.
Adverse Effects
- Very rare cases of local skin irritation or discomfort may occur if the rim or chestpiece is not cleaned appropriately between patients.
- Improper installation may lead to poor acoustic performance or diaphragm loosening during use.
Storage Conditions
- Store in a clean, dry environment at room temperature.
- Avoid exposure to excessive heat, cold or direct sunlight.
- Keep away from sharp objects or solvents that may damage the rim material.
Duration
Reusable accessory; used for the lifespan of the part or until worn or damaged and requires replacement.
Onset
Immediate restoration of non-chill rim function once installed on the stethoscope.
